A downloadable game for Windows

Preston Rigsby presents, "The Remainder" for the GameDev.tv Game Jam.

"The Remainder" is a top-down shooter made in the Godot Game Engine.

Instructions:

Survive the zombie waves as long as you can. You have 2 lives. Use your mouse to rotate the player and aim your gun. After every wave you can select an upgrade, and the zombies progressively spawn faster. (The text on the top left of the screen tells you how long you have until the wave ends.) Below is a list of the upgrades and what they do.

  1. "Increase Fire Rate" increases how fast you shoot.
  2. "Increase Damage" increases how much damage your gun does.
  3.  "Get Ring" gives you a ring around the player that damages the zombies. When you upgrade a 2nd time, it increases the amount of damage it does.

"The Remainder" follows the theme "Life in 2 dimensions" because it is a 2D game and you have 2 lives inside the game.

I made this game in 2 days as a learning experience to get used to Godot. Sorry for having no web build. I couldn't get Godot to make one.

See the Download & Install Instructions if you can't figure out how to run the game.
